A room created to host large productions inside VillageMall, in Barra da Tijuca.
The current Multiplan Theater opened in 2013, shortly after opening of VillageMall, with the name Bradesco Rio Theater.
The room was designed to receive different formats of shows, including musicals, plays, shows, dance performances and corporate events.
The project prioritized acoustic quality, comfort and good visibility. Internal acoustic linings were imported from Spain and the chairs, from the United States.
In December of 2019, Multiplan directly took over the operation and presented a new phase for the house, which came to be called Multiplan Theater.
The debut of this new stage was marked by a special presentation by Ivete Sangalo, created to celebrate the change of management and identity of the space.
Since then, the theater has been hosting musicals, comedies, national shows, children's shows, dance, concerts, tributes and private events.
The location at VillageMall also allows combine going to the theater with restaurants, purchases and other services available in the shopping center.
