ARMANDINHO E DADI NO BLUE NOTE – RJ

Nascido de pai gaúcho e mãe de Santa Rosa (RS), Armandinho cresceu ouvindo de tudo um pouco. Seu pai, com quem teve pouco contato, tocava MPB no violão e cantava muito bem. Sua mãe comprava um disco por mês, de Vinícius de Moraes a Rita Lee, e foi sua grande incentivadora. Com a avó, aprendeu a gostar dos artistas populares dos programas da rádio Farroupilha AM. O padrasto, um ‘gauchão bem tradicional’, ouvia música regional, incluindo os argentinos Mercedes Sosa e Ariel Ramires.

Armandinho formou sua primeira banda ainda na época de estudante, em 1985. Com 12 anos, já compunha, e sua primeira música de sucesso, “Sexo na Caranga”, foi escrita nessa época. Ele passou por fases Beatles, Rolling Stones e uma verdadeira idolatria por Elvis Presley.

Mas foi na MPB e nos ‘bares da vida’ que Armandinho construiu seu caminho. Uma fita cassete com dez canções, entregue ao diretor da Rádio Atlântida, foi o divisor de águas entre a noite e o sucesso radiofônico.

Em 2006, seu projeto, lançado pela Universal Music, captura a energia do público que lotou o Rancho Maria’s, apresentando hits como “Desenho de Deus” — primeiro single do álbum. O estilo pop/MPB/reggae de Armandinho está presente em canções como “Balanço da Rede”, “Justiceiro”, “Pela Cor do Teu Olho”, “Casa do Sol” e a inédita “Lua Nova”, entre outras assinadas pelo gaúcho.

Born to a Gaúcho father and a mother from Santa Rosa (RS), Armandinho grew up listening to a bit of everything. His father, whom he had little contact with, played MPB on guitar and sang beautifully. His mother bought a record each month, from Vinícius de Moraes to Rita Lee, and was his biggest supporter. With his grandmother, he developed a love for popular artists from the Farroupilha AM radio shows. His stepfather, a very traditional Gaúcho, listened to regional music, including Argentine artists Mercedes Sosa and Ariel Ramires.

Armandinho formed his first band while still a student, in 1985. At 12 years old, he was already composing, and his first hit, “Sexo na Caranga,” was written during this period. He experienced phases inspired by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and idolized Elvis Presley.

However, it was in MPB and the ‘life bars’ that Armandinho carved his path. A cassette tape with ten songs, handed to the director of Rádio Atlântida, marked the turning point between the night scene and radio success.

In 2006, his project, released by Universal Music, captured the energy of the crowd that packed Rancho Maria’s, featuring hits like “Desenho de Deus” — the album’s first single. Armandinho’s pop/MPB/reggae style is present in songs like “Balanço da Rede,” “Justiceiro,” “Pela Cor do Teu Olho,” “Casa do Sol,” and the unreleased “Lua Nova,” among others penned by the Gaúcho artist.
