We have been based in Cidade Nova for 16 years, right in the center of Rio de Janeiro. We often say that our heart is the Social Circus Program. Through it, we put our purpose into practice every day: We impact lives and transform the context of hundreds of children, teenagers and young people using circus art as a pedagogical tool.

We are a circus reference center and active sociocultural equipment that operates in all links of the production chain: We create and present original shows; we promote artistic residencies and exchanges; and we hold exhibitions, festivals and seasons with national and international artists, groups and circus companies.

Our circus is an organization with a territorial vocation. Through community actions and our Social Circus Program, we impact thousands of families in our immediate surroundings. We use data intelligence to identify the main pain points of our neighbors, and we act to address the challenges.

Among the many factors that make life difficult for residents, some are directly linked to environmental issues, such as floods, heat islands, lack of leisure spaces and food insecurity, which is why in 2021 we also developed an intense front of projects focused on the environment.
