MAM Rio brings together modern art, contemporary art,
photography, design, architecture and cinema. In addition to the
exhibitions, the Cinematheque and the library maintain programming
own.
On Sundays, the period from 10am to 11am is reserved for
autistic people, people with intellectual disabilities or
hypersensitivity to stimuli. The general opening begins
at 11am.

Pontal Museum

The Pontal Museum has one of the largest art collections
Brazilian popular. Sculptures, parties, professions,
games and traditions from different regions appear
in exhibitions accessible to adults and children.
Entry is free, with voluntary contributions suggested.
Some workshops and musical visits require the removal of
password or reservation.

The Museum of Afro-Brazilian History and Culture addresses the
African and Afro-Brazilian presence in the construction of Rio and

Located within the Tijuca Forest, the Açude Museum
brings together decorative arts, tiles, sculptures and works
integrated into the landscape.

Located near Praça Tiradentes, the center receives

meetings and activities related to contemporary art.
It is one of the best free options for Monday,
when many cultural institutions remain closed.

most important in the Center. Today it hosts exhibitions of
visual arts, architecture, photography and design.

The neoclassical building designed by Grandjean de Montigny
