Festivals excite the locals in February
In preparation for Carnival, events for all profiles dominate the wonderful city and attract thousands of revelers
In a carnival atmosphere, the month of February presents a range of options for revelers who prefer to enjoy good parties instead of following the intense rhythm of Marquês de Sapucaí. For those who will be watching the parades from home, AUÊ, Feverê, CarnaRildy, Carnaval do Bosque and the various attractions of Hills They appear as excellent options for interacting with friends and enjoying the festivities.
Opening Carnival week and in its fourth edition, AUÊ, one of the most anticipated festivals by the Rio public, arrives with a strong line-up in Rio's port area. Among the names are Marina Sena, Rachel Reis, Duda Beat, Letrux and Anavitória, as well as renowned artists such as Jorge Ben Jor and Teresa Cristina. The festival will also promote unprecedented meetings by the group Bala Quero (formed by Dora Morelenbaum, Julia Mestre, Lucas Nunes and Zé Ibarra) with the singers Criolo and Ney Matogrosso and the trio Gilsons (of José Gil, Francisco Gil and João Gil) with the singer Liniker. In addition to these, the project will feature favorite carnival groups of the new generation, such as Amores Líquidos, Minha Luz é de LED, Ibrejinha, Bloco 442, Céu na Terra, Vem Cá Minha Flor, Amigos da Onça and Bloco pra Iaiá, ending with the group Samba que Elas Querem. There will be two stages with more than 50 attractions and 70 hours of partying, February 17th to 21st, and also on the days 24 and 25 of the same month. With tickets starting at 70.00 reais via the Ingresse website, the event is being organized by Vibra Marketing e Entretenimento, in partnership with businessman Leo Marçal.
In the days February 16th, 18th, 19th, 21st and 22nd, the Rio Beach Club, in Barra da Tijuca, hosts another edition of FEVERÊ. The “Largada de Carnaval” party opens Friday’s program with Bloco das Gaúchas, Amizade Samba, Káká, Mohamed and Lup in charge of the carrapetas. On Saturday, rapper Filipe Ret and the group “Samba Entre 4 Paredes” promise to infect revelers. On Sunday, Bloco do Carrito will be responsible for entertaining the public with a “full open bar” party. The beloved “Nas Internas” dominates Carnival Tuesday and, ending the program in style, on Ash Wednesday it will be the turn of rapper L7NNON and Grupo Vou Zuar. The FEVERÊ project is carried out by agencies Fábrica, Orion, Folk and 4Fly, with tickets starting at 80.00 reais via the Ingresse website.
The traditional CARNARILDY arrives on the lawns of Rio Centro, in Barra da Tijuca, between the days February 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th. Held by the agencies Fábrica, GH Music, Grupo Onda and Maltas, it features shows by Atitude 67, Maiara and Maraísa, Sorriso Maroto and Pedro Sampaio on the first day. On the second day, Zé Neto and Cristiano, Dilsinho, Luísa Sonza and Matuê arrive to raise the public's energy. On Sunday, Anitta, Menos é Mais, L7nnon and Matheus Fernandes take the stage at the event and, on the fourth day of Carnival, Luan Santana shares the scene with Xamã, Dennis DJ and Mumuzinho. CarnaRildy will have two sectors for the public: the “Arena Rildy”, with an exclusive entrance, privileged view of the stage and food court; and the “Arena Open”, which in addition to the previous items, also provides personalized service, premium bathrooms, covered rest lounges and an open bar with Premium Vodka and Gin, Whiskey, Energy Drink, Beer, Water and Tonic Water, Soft Drink and Juice. In an open space, overlooking one of the most beautiful postcards in the world, Bosque Bar, in Gávea, will host the BOSQUE CARNIVAL with shows by MC Marcinho, Biel do Furduncinho, Festa Panda and Xeque Mate. At the opening, Thursday and Friday of Carnival, February 16th and 17th, a selection of great DJs from the Rio and national scenes will guarantee the sound in the house. Node Saturday it will be the turn of MC Marcinho's dance and at Sunday the space will host a special edition of Festa Panda. Already in Monday, the Xeque Mate party arrives at Bosque for the first time. Biel do Furduncinho closes the program at Wednesday of ashes. The project is the result of a partnership between the Vibra Marketing agency in partnership with businessman and PR Leo Marçal, responsible for the musical curation of the space. Already in HILLS, in the heart of Urca, several parties promise to liven up the afternoons and nights of Cariocas during the Carnival period. A casa conta com atrações de Friday to Sunday, which start the week before Carnival. On the day 10/02, On Friday, the Samba Hills party will feature performances by Grupo Firmamento and Caetano Rios. Jefinho, Julio (Vou pro Sereno) and Arlindinho are some of the big names that will appear at the Pôr do Hills party, on Sundays. Especially for the week of revelry, February 18th to 21st, Hills will feature free feijoada, from 12pm to 4pm, lots of samba and special guests. For parties outside of Carnival week, it is possible to put your name on the friend list on the Hills website and guarantee tickets at discounted prices.
