DOMINGOS MUSICAIS | THE NORWAY BRASIL CONNECTION – COM MATHISEN, KORMAN, MATTOSO E FREITAS DA BOSSA NO BLUE NOTE

Esta banda é o resultado de uma colaboração entre o guitarrista norueguês Hans Mathisen, o pianista americano Cliff Korman e os brasileiros Augusto Mattoso no baixo e Kiki Freitas na bateria. O grupo vem diretamente do Uruguai para o Blue Note Rio, onde se apresentará no Festival Internacional de Jazz de Punta del Este.

A música é uma fusão de influências do estilo ECM europeu, do jazz americano e, claro, dos grooves brasileiros, tudo em uma bela e lírica combinação, nas mãos desses excelentes improvisadores.

This band is the result of a collaboration between Norwegian guitarist Hans Mathisen, American pianist Cliff Korman, and Brazilians Augusto Mattoso on bass and Kiki Freitas on drums. The group comes directly from Uruguay to Blue Note Rio, where it will perform at the Punta del Este International Jazz Festival.

The music is a fusion of influences from the European ECM style, American jazz, and, of course, Brazilian grooves, all beautifully and lyrically combined in the hands of these excellent improvisers.
