Em 1999, fundou o grupo Cozinha Brasileira, que se apresentou em casas como o Rio Scenarium, onde permaneceu por nove anos, além de grandes eventos, incluindo o réveillon na Praia do Flamengo para 600 mil pessoas.\nDurante os anos 2000, integrou o Afroreggae, atuando como professor, coordenador e diretor musical, criando o grupo Afro Samba, que se apresentou ao lado de Zeca Pagodinho, Beth Carvalho, Gilberto Gil e Jorge Aragão. Desde 2009, segue carreira solo, lançando em 2011 o CD/DVD História de Samba, com participações de mestres como Walter Alfaiate e Almir Guineto. Em 2015, criou o projeto Samba da Lagoa e trabalhou como produtor musical.\nEm 2019, sua música “Nenhum Amor é Proibido” integrou a trilha da novela Éramos Seis (Globo), tornando-se a mais tocada da trama.
