O elenco deste ano reúne grandes nomes como Alcione, Chico Buarque, João Bosco, Leci Brandão, Mariene de Castro, Pretinho da Serrinha e Xande de Pilares. Também contará com a participação especial da Velha Guarda Musical da Mangueira, dos intérpretes Marquinhos Art´Samba e Dowglas Diniz, além da bateria da Verde e Rosa.*\nCom direção geral de Túlio Feliciano, produção geral de Vinícius França e direção musical de Pretinho da Serrinha, o Show de Verão da Mangueira foi criado para o carnaval de 1998, quando Chico Buarque foi enredo da escola e levou a Verde e Rosa a mais um campeonato.
